Masumi (Ginjyo) Masumi Ginjyo sake has a light, smooth and rich flavor. Its well-balanced bouquet works well with its fine rich aroma and moderate dryness.

Formed in 1662, Masumi is one of the largest and most storied manufacturers of sake in all of Japan. Their sake comes from among their two kura (one of which has the distinction of being the highest kura in all of Japan, located as it is in the mountains of Nagano). A 1946 national tasting competition saw Masumi win first, second and third prize from among entries all over the country. Their secret, a special yeast known as Number 7, is now the most commonly used sake yeast in the country. Masumi's tradition of excellent is well-known.
